Overview
Orbit is a modular DeFi yield layer built to make stablecoin earnings simple, accessible, and transparent. The product abstracts away the technical complexity of crypto and delivers a clean, Web2-like experience with multichain support. I was brought in to help ship the MVP end-to-end - focused on front-end architecture, UI design implementation, and onboarding UX. The goal was to validate demand with real users and partners.
Challenge
- DeFi yield was fragmented across chains and protocols, leading to poor UX and low conversion.
- Most interfaces were built for degens - not retail users or financial use cases.
- Designs required a flexible, component-driven system that could scale into SDK and whitelabel formats.
- Needed to move fast and deliver a market-ready MVP in weeks, not months.
Solution
- Led user flow mapping, rapid sketches, and wireframes to validate product direction early.
- Collaborated with the designer on handoff, ran design reviews, and helped establish a consistent design system.
- Integrated core smart contract functionality (deposit, withdraw, DCA) on Neutron and Sepolia testnets.
- Connected on-chain actions with off-chain data APIs to power a seamless, real-time experience.
- Built the entire front-end UI from scratch using React, Tailwind, Shadcn/UI, and TypeScript.
- Implemented complex, responsive animations using Framer Motion for polished UX transitions.
- Worked closely in a small team to ship the MVP quickly and validate market fit.

Results
- Signed 4 pilot partners and 10+ integrations in progress, including telcos and LATAM fintechs.
- MVP launched with 200+ beta testers and over 7,000 waitlist signups.
- Validated product-market fit with strong partner feedback and committed LOI flows ($250M+).
- Public mainnet launch scheduled for Q3 based on MVP traction.
- Positioned Orbit as a foundational DeFi layer for financial utilities like bill pay and automated DCA.
